2019 Colomé Estate Malbec

Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, March 2021

“The dark and brooding 2019 Auténtico Malbec had to be harvested quickly because of a heat wave during the harvest. Eighty-five percent of the volume matured in stainless steel and the rest in concrete egg. To be honest, it feels a little flat in the palate and has plenty of notes of ripe black fruit, not as vibrant as some past vintages... 65,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2020.”

2019 Amalaya Gran Corte Malbec

Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, February 2022

“Big and well-structured, with rich acidity supporting the dried berry, dark plum and Asian spice flavors, which show graphite notes. The overtly tannic finish has stone accents. Drink now through 2025. 9,519 cases made, 500 cases imported.”

2019 Colomé Auténtico Malbec

Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, November 2021

“Roasted plum and dark cherry flavors are loaded with savory richness in this red, with dried beef notes. Accents of soy midpalate lead to chocolate nib hints on the creamy finish. Drink now through 2025. 3,800 cases made, 1,400 cases imported.”

2019 Colomé Estate Malbec

James Suckling, James Suckling, May 2021

“A medium-to full-bodied red with aromas of violets, oyster shell, green olives, salted plums and baked blueberries. Firm, tight-grained tannins and bright acidity. Savory and saline with bitter berries on the finish. Try from 2023.”

2019 Colomé Estate Malbec

Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, December 2020

“Colomé Estate wines are growing more and more stylish and precise. One of the keys was the addition of an optional grape selector that allows winemakers to discard the dehydrated grapes. The 2019 vintage of the Malbec Estate is thus much fruitier with ripe plus and cherry over balsamic, herbal notes and a touch of sunny Calchaquí syrup. Both concentrated and juicy, the firm tannins sculpt the good volume and keep the energy in check, ensuring that it's merely sprightly in contrast to the booming power of previous vintages. As pure and primary as ever but now with greater elegance.”

2019 Dutton-Goldfield Dutton Ranch Chardonnay

Wine Enthusiast, December 2021

“This wine is made from several outstanding sites, including Sullivan and Walker Hill. Tightly structured, it shows a hint of butterscotch and oak before the acidity shines through to further emphasize a brightness of Meyer lemon, oyster shell and pear.”
