It's pliant and silky, with textural waves of ripe red and blue fruits that soothe the senses as echoes of sweet spice and hints of cocoa swirl throughout. This tapers off long and savory, leaving a gentle coating of tannins and hints of tobacco to slowly fade. What a darling. The 2021 should enjoy a long and broad drinking window.”

“The 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello Di Brolio pours a jeweled red hue with a hint of orange and is elegant in the glass, offering aromas of candied red cherries, red flowers, mint, and sweet forest herbs. Medium-bodied, it’s approachable and finely textured on the palate, with supple tannins, refreshing, evenly balanced acidity, and a lightly salty finish. This is a very appealing and approachable offering with a lot of finesse that’s drinking well now. Drink 2024-2036.”

It has a good finish and is prime for drinking over the next 5-7 years.”

“The 2021 Chianti Classico Brolio is a bright ruby color and is fresh and inviting with aromas of fresh red cherry, orange peel, fresh herbs, and wet stones. Bright and refreshing, the palate is medium-bodied, with ultrafine tannins, a mineral-toned texture, and a clean finish. It is a very nice entry wine that I would prefer to drink now for its snappy refreshment, although it should hold up well over the coming 4-6 years.”

A very impressive offering with lots to love, it’s certainly going to improve over the coming 12-15 years.”
