Iconic Tuscan Producer Bolsters Prestigious Portfolio

Isole e Olena - BeautyNapa, CA — Monday, May 1st, 2023 — National importer and fine wine marketing agency Folio Fine Wine Partners announced today the addition of Isole e Olena, an estate in Chianti Classico recently purchased by the family-owned EPI Group. This appointment boosts the national importer’s presence in luxury wine and capitalizes on Folio’s vast experience and success in the Tuscan category. Wines will be available through Folio’s national distribution partners starting in May 2023.

Folio Founder and Executive Chairman Michael Mondavi stated:

“Since its inception, Folio has invested in building a deep knowledge and respect for the Tuscan category and we’re thrilled to add Isole e Olena to our beautiful portfolio of Italian wines. During his almost 50 years at Isole e Olena, Paolo De Marchi has accomplished outstanding results for the estate and for the Chianti Classico region. We are proud to represent these remarkable wines and to further expand the estate’s reputation and sales in the U.S. market.”

Commenting on the partnership, Isole e Olena CEO Giampiero Bertolini said:

“Isole e Olena has always been close to the US market and already has distribution in many states. I am confident that the partnership with Folio Fine Wine Partners will strengthen our position even further, as we work together to bring the wines of this special estate to wine lovers across the nation. Folio is renowned for their professional and careful approach to the market and we are very happy to place this estate in their hands.”

He continued: “The foresight and expertise with which Paolo De Marchi has continued to invest in quality over the years is a characterizing trait of the estate and has led to the creation of wines such as Cepparello, one of the first Super Tuscans, a unique Chardonnay and the Isole e Olena Chianti Classico – all recognized among accounts and consumers for their consistent, distinctive style.”

Isole e Olena was founded in 1956 by the De Marchi family and has been widely credited as one of the pioneering estates to bring Chianti Classico to the worldwide recognition it enjoys today. The historic Tuscan property is located in San Donato in Poggio and includes 140 acres of vineyards.

Folio Fine Wine Partners will represent six wines from Isole e Olena, ranging from $35 to $150 SRP: Chianti Classico ($35), Chardonnay ($80), Vin Santo ($85), Syrah ($95), Cabernet Sauvignon ($130), and Cepparello ($150).

Wines will be available nationally through fine wine retailers and restaurants.
