National Importer Expands French Footprint in Luberon 

 

Folio Fine Wine Partners, renowned national importer, proudly announces their partnership with Château La Verrerie, a distinguished winery under the EPI Group in France. This significant collaboration further strengthens Folio’s presence in several renowned French wine regions. To the delight of wine enthusiasts across the country, these exceptional wines will be available in select states starting in August 2023.  

Speaking on the partnership, Folio Founder and Executive Chairman Michael Mondavi stated:

Château La Verrerie CEO, Christopher Descours, echoed Mondavi’s comments:

It was here that my grandfather, Jean-Louis Descours, began producing great wines, and it was on this magnificent estate that I was introduced to wine. Pioneers among pioneers, we set out early on to make this land a land of excellence, when only a handful of artisan winemakers existed in the Luberon over 40 years ago.” 

He continued: “Today, I have the pleasure of writing a new chapter in this saga and launching Château La Verrerie in the American market. I’m certain that, with the enthusiastic support of Folio’s team, our wines, produced with the utmost precision viticulture in accordance with the principles of the most demanding organic and biodynamic farming, will appeal to the most discerning American consumers.” 

Nestled within the picturesque landscape between Provence and the Rhône Valley, in the heart of the magnificent Luberon National Park, lies Château La Verrerie. This remarkable estate encompasses 56 hectares of meticulously tended vines, tracing back to Roman times, where viticulture first took root. Revered as a beacon of sustainability in the Luberon region, Château La Verrerie proudly holds the esteemed Certified Organic designation since 2013. Guided by the Descours family since 1981, the estate perpetuates a legacy of producing exceptional, premium wines that honor and showcase the profound terroir.

Wines will be available in California, Illinois, Florida and New York through fine wine retailers and restaurants.
