2019 M by Michael Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon

Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, January 2024

“The 2019 M Red Wine is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Sourced from Atlas Peak, it's a big step up from the other offerings from Michael Mondavi Family Wines, offering concentrated notions of black cherries, cassis, hints of smoked meat and dried sage. Medium to full-bodied, it's creamy-supple up front, easing into a long finish framed by velvety tannins.”

2018 M. Chapoutier Monier de la Sizeranne

Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2022

“Glass-staining ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes ripe, smoke-tinged red and dark berries, pit fruits, candied flowers, allspice and licorice. Juicy and broad on the palate, offering appealingly sweet cherry-cola, black raspberry and fruitcake flavors that are underscored by a smoky mineral quality. Finishes long and smooth, with building energy, sneaky tannins and resonating spice and floral notes.”

2021 Luke Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024

“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon entices with a spicy blend of crushed raspberries, offset by peppery herbs and hints of white smoke. It's silky and refined, with round textures and ripe red fruits that flow across a core of juicy acidity. It finishes long and staining, while maintaining a lovely energetic feel, leaving gently grippy tannins that frame the experience well. The 2021 will only require a short stay in the cellar to show at its best.”

2021 Luke Columbia Valley Merlot

Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024

“The 2021 Merlot, from the Wahluke Slope, is a total pleasure to take in, wafting up with masses of ripe blueberry complicated by rubbed sage and rum-soaked plums. It's pliant and silky, with textural waves of ripe red and blue fruits that soothe the senses as echoes of sweet spice and hints of cocoa swirl throughout. This tapers off long and savory, leaving a gentle coating of tannins and hints of tobacco to slowly fade. What a darling. The 2021 should enjoy a long and broad drinking window.”

2016 Quinta do Crasto Tinta Roriz

Mark Squires, June 2021

“Rather tight on the finish and showing a fair share of power, as this brand often does, this is focused and delicious, with big fruit on the gripping finish. It is very intense and rather backward. This is a super vintage for this, with many miles to go in the cellar. It should continue to improve and is nowhere near peak yet.”
