Spellbound (www.spellboundwines.com) was born of the desire to craft wines relaxed enough to enjoy every day, yet special enough to celebrate milestone events.

Winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr. and partners, wife Lydia Mondavi, Patti McKiernan and Geoff Whitman, honor California’s heritage through Spellbound’s focus on one of the first varietals grown in the state, Petite Sirah. In 2009 Spellbound launched an outstanding Petite Sirah Reserve from Napa Valley, reinforcing the label’s commitment to this growing varietal.

Crafted from grapes from established and emerging regions in California, such as Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley, Santa Barbara and Lodi, the core Spellbound lineup includes the Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Old Vine Zinfandel and Riesling.

Because Spellbound wines pair so well with food, they’ve become a favorite choice of fine and casual restaurants, from neighborhood venues to popular destinations like PF Chang’s, Flemings Prime Rib and Ritz-Carlton Hotels. The unique, eye-catching moon label and delicious, approachable wines have also assured Spellbound’s success in off-premise channels.
