  -2005 Nita (91 pts) Nita was created by young winemaker Maritxell Palleja. It is a rare unoaked Priorat designed to highlight the palette of Priorat minerality and old-vine fruit flavors that can be consumed early on. With the 2005 Nita, that goal has been achieved in spades. Composed of 45% Garnacha, 35% Carinena, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Syrah, the wine has a dark ruby hue, aromas of pencil lead, wild raspberry, black cherry, and spice box. This leads to a full-bodied wine with layers of sweet fruit, a silky palate feel, and soft tannins that should carry the wine for another 4-6 years. Nicely balanced with a long, pure finish, this is a superb value in Priorat. (March 2008)
