  • Wine Advocate reviews Vall Llach in the 2008 Spain Report:
-2006 Fillaboa (88 pts) The 2006 Albarino is light gold colored with a fragrant bouquet of spring flowers, lemon, and green apple. This is followed by a supple-textured, medium-bodied wine with notes of citrus and tropical undertones. Nicely balanced with good intensity and length, this tasty Albarino should be consumed over the next 1-2 years.
-2006 Fillaboa Seleccion (89 pts) The 2006 Finca Monte Alto is a single vineyard selection of Albarino. Light gold-colored, it has an alluring perfume of mineral, apple, lemon, spring flowers, and pineapple. On the palate, it has a smooth, nearly creamy texture, ripe fruit, and good balance. Drink it over the next 1-2 years with flaky fish courses and roast chicken. (March 2008)

  • Food & Wine Magazine named Fillaboa, "Top Albariño Producer" (October 2007 issue)

  • Wine & Spirits selects the 2006 Fillaboa Rias Baixas Albariño as an August "Wine of the Month" giving it 91 points, stating "A touch of carbon dioxide in the glass seems to make the aromas more emphatic, a rich scent of chalk and toasted lees. The fruit is more subtle and persistent, its ripeness giving sweet pear and white peach flavors that feel rich and creamy right in the middle, then mouth-watering and dry in the end. Decant a bottle for snapper in a nut crust." Joshua Greene (August 2007 issue)
