Accolades

Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar gave the 2001 Quorum 91 points with this review. "Saturated, deep ruby-red. Flamboyant aromas of plum, strawberry, leather and dried flowers, with a pronounced roasted oak component. Then rich and chewy yet somehow suave in the mouth, with dark fruit flavors complicated by game, underbrush and minerals. Impressively dense, fat, large-scaled barbera with a mellow, very long finish featuring lush, silky tannins and considerable sweetness. Hardly your typical barbera, and that's not meant as a complaint! This is a joint project involving Coppo, Chiarlo, Vietti, Prunotto, Braida and Berta." (February 2008)

The Wine Advocate loves Quorum, Antonio Galloni gave the 2003 Quorum 92 points, dubbing it "One of the Best Wines" coming out of his tasting. (August 2007)

Robert Parker gave Quorum 93 points in The Wine Advocate stating, "The 2001 Barbera d'Asti from Quorum is second to none. A saturated blackish purple, its perfectly ripe plum and berry fruit and spicy, elegant oak are matched by flavors of impeccable richness and sweetness, superior texture and density, the signature low acidity of Cotarella wines, and a lush, succulent, mouthfilling volume and length. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2010."
