Folio Winemakers’ Studio is home to several wine companies (I'M, Medusa, Spellbound and Mayro-Murdick) and several of the Folio brands (Oberon and Hangtime) are actually made at the winery. Why “Studio”? We feel fine winemaking is an art and we wanted the name of our winery to communicate that it is a place where art is shared by enthusiasts of all levels. Please come visit our new Taste Gallery, a comprehensive sensory experience that includes: wine and food pairings, art exhibits, amazing vineyard views from our porch, educational programs, and special events. Inside the Taste Gallery we feature your favorite varietals from our own Studio winemakers showcasing I’M, Oberon, Hangtime, Medusa, Spellbound and Mayro-Murdick wines. This studio concept is brought to you by the Michael Mondavi Family.

Folio Winemakers’ Studio offers First Fridays, a monthly art opening at the Taste Gallery featuring inspiring works by local artists. Guests will be able to speak face-to-face with the exhibiting artist while enjoying the taste of the Studio winemakers’ art. Guests may purchase at the First Fridays opening or throughout the month of showing. The Taste Gallery offers a unique variety of finds to take home that will help preserve the memories of the visit and enjoyment of the wine. Our mix of treasures can range from tabletop items, to rare heirloom dry goods, to the perfect collapsible picnic table for four. We feel wine is a part of a meal and that it should always be accompanied by food. We provide food and wine pairing to help our guests uncover their own palate preferences and encourage trying combinations outside their comfort zone.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born and raised in Colorado, Donna attended Pacific University in Oregon, and graduated from the University of Hawaii. Currently, she lives in St. Helena, California.

Donna's art education was gathered informally through workshops at the University of Hawaii, Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, Anderson Ranch Art Center in Colorado, and Encaustic Printmaking in New Mexico. She also attended U.S. sponsered workshops in Italy and France. In 1999, 2002, and 2003 she was an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center.

Travel has been a big part of her art experience with many ideas coing from visiting exotic places such as India, Nepal, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Miconesia.

While living in Hawaii, Donna entered and was accepted in most juried art shows, including "Artists of Hawaii" which is considered to be the most important show in the state.
